I woke up to a dark dreary rainy morning and the
crows were cawing loudly. I got my binoculars and
searched the trees for the source of their aggravation.
Across the road near the top of a tree I spotted a hawk.

I thought it must be a Cooper because that is what I
usually get in my yard. But when I brought it into the
computer it looked more like a Redtail. I asked BG and she
said Redtail too.
From the porch I took several shots and it flew to another
tree probably to avoid the camera and then it was gone.
I had planned to clean the office and finish up some
decorating....but I already had the camera in my hand so
I kept watching to see what else I could see.

Lovely photos. I love the red bellied pictures. Such a handsome bird. I have only been fortunate to have one visit me a couple of times, but I am always on the lookout for him.
You have a great variety of birds that come to your home!
Oh, then change the list to "1. Get amazing bird pictures." and you've done it all.
I loved watching your red bellied at work! And Mr. Finch needs a hair dryer - cute guy!
Very nice photographs.
I am fond of the Red-bellied Woodpeckers too.
They are all such wonderful photos for a rainy morning. I love seeing the red bellied woodpecker especially so up close and personal enjoying his breakfast.
I seem to always put off today, what I can do tomorrow!
Your red-belly shots were great! Loved the tongue!
Thanks for allowing us a look into your day.Great shots.Maybe you didn't get anything from your list done, but look at those lovely pictures you would have missed had you been cleaning. I'd take the pictures any time, the cleaning will wait. Blessings,Ruth
I love the redbelly pics! One of my favorites.
The hawk was really nice. So fat and puffed up...
