Red Tail Hawk

My best friend called me the other morning and said
grab your camera and head out..there is a Redtail close
to your house. So off I went! We had this conversation
only a day ago about how I should see hawks on this road
but never do! Dah! Well, here he is.

It is a heavily traveled road and not much room to get
off on the side, so I pulled over with flashers blinking and
used the burst mode to get oh ahhhh about 150 picts.

He paid no attention to me and hopped from one tree to
another and kept his eye on the prey I couldn't see

You always wish you are CLOSER or the light is BETTER or
there was more COLOR, but hey it is what it is..
I took what I got.

He sure was intent on breakfast

But he flew down a couple times and came up empty handed

Fearing my life on this very busy road....

I left him to his work and went home.
