Continued jane & Barbie adventure.

On our trip to NY we saw more wet lands and bogs than
I have ever seen in PA. They seemed to be everywhere.
We were enjoying looking at a Heron in this area when we
could hear that Hawk screaming over and over.
Listen to the video above if you haven't already.

We would have never looked for him if it wasn't for his
continuous crying. Bird Girl has some great close ups
on her blog... go here.

These young hawks cry and wait for a parent
to feed them. You almost have to pity them
out there hunting on their own.

Fortunately for us, this one stayed around long enough
to get a few nice pictures.

Great photos. We have alot of Hawks in our neighborhood, it's funny to listen and watch the squirrels and birds chatter to each other when a Hawk is about to try and scoop one of them up.

Your Hawk is nice and young looking.

WE have Coopers Hawks here and they go through a long learning process that finds them hungry more often than well fed. But they do score kills here and feast for a while. Nice photograph and I appreciated the sounds you provided.

Thanks to all of you. These trips are indeed special. We have been doing this for so long and we always find something interesting on our journeys. Lots of great memories AND pictures! We have boxes full of 35mm before we went digital and started blogging. Everyone should have a 'Best' Friend to pal around with.
