It was almost dark when I spotted these two grazing
along the side of the road. I was able to swing around
and get my headlights on them for a few pictures.
My car lights would have never been high enough or
bright enough to do this. For years I have been
complaining that my eyes were bad especially
driving at night. Well!! revelation.. with the new
SUV... not my eyes - it was the headlights. I feel
younger already.

I was surprised how they let me get some pictures
A little earlier I saw a fawn and doe in some one's yard

Enjoying your new toys, are you? Wonderful. (Have you taken the new SUV to the gas station yet?)
You are a braver woman than me taking a photo of a skunk! I am amazed at the deer being almost tame in your area. Ours run at the first sign of a person or car.
Acutally Helen, I did go to the gas station and I checked the mileage. It got 16 on stop and go driving... and it cost $45. to fill up. I didn't think that too bad. It is a Grand Vitara Suzuki, says 22 on open road.
Marsha: that was taken out my bathroom window...I'm NOT that brave haha The deer were in the park where they are not hunted so they tend to stick around
Whoa! that skunk! that close!
Love the shots of the deer!
I hope the deer can make it for another year and skip the hunting seasons. I hate that sportsman thing. Anyway, to answer your umbrella question...
No it never rained. The umbrellas were open to provide some shade. Lots of people used to do that on sunny days. I don't think the people being hanged wanted them open, it was more the people behind that wanted them open. Although one of them is a woman who was hanged.
Great photo's. I would love to get some great deer pictures.
Hope you are doing well! I forgot to answer you about my sisters dog. He is a lab/pit mix. His name is Dude. He is a character!! He uses the pool more then they do!!
You take care and keep up the wonderful photography!!
Lovely pictures of deer. Thanks for sharing these beauties...Elizabeth
