My Daily Dose of Feathered Friends..or not!

I know, I know, we all hate starlings.....but
these little gluttons kinda looked cute. I like their
yellow beaks the best!

The new sign 'feathered friends' seemed like an invitation
to all the reasons why I can't afford bird seed these days.
I'll name them one by one.....

Meet Rico.....

St. Francis

Sanchez the stump sitter

Cisco at the Gazebo

and Pepe the hang glider

Oops, almost forgot Juan praying to St. Sunflower....
please, send more seeds!!

While I was at it I saw a cute little bunny today...
thankfully they do NOT eat seeds.

On my morning jaunt I did see a couple hawks. One
way up in the tree hunting.

And of course the old standbys at the Vets Home
Always at the top of the pole.

the wind was ruffling the feathers a little.

They have cute little faces...

Perhaps you should put up a sign saying; No squirrels allowed. They keep eating all our bird food.

Thanks Jan for sending me a few pesty starlings....I thought of you when they showed up! And the squirrels, well they are here what can I say...might as well enjoy them while they are eating me out of house and home..

Greg - Thanks for the comment. With bird seed so high I am feeling the crunch of the squirrel gluttony.

Cute little photo story with your named squirrels :-) I was lucky to not have many starlings all winter but they sure showed up in force this spring along with the grackels.

Thanks Marsha! I do not get many starling but they seem to love suet. The squirrels are by far my biggest obstacle.

I have so many squirrels I could never tell them apart. Nice of you to name them. Does that keep them from chasing all the birds away? Guess I should consider myself lucky not to have starlings too. I enjoyed visiting your blog for the first time. I'll be back.

Thanks for stopping by. Naming the squirrels does nothing for their gluttonous ways. The birds are not at all affected by them at the feeders..they often eat together. But the birdseed bill is killing me! I have tried everything to rid myself of them but nothing works.

Jane that is so funny, Spanish Grey Squirrels. I laughed as I scrolled through. Too cute!! I just was watching that hawk at the Vet's yesterday. What a beauty! Did you give the bunny a name?

Great shots of these little thieves, I know they can be a pain, but I just love their antics. Thanks for sharing!
