Halloween

The term Halloween (and its alternative rendering Hallowe'en)
is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the eve of
"All Hallows' Day", also which is now known as All Saints' Day.
It was a day of religious festivities in various northern
European Pagan traditions.

In the US Halloween has evolved into a fun
time to decorate and a trick or treat holiday.

In my travels I have captured some of the great
decor out there.

I love the way this house is
decorated with the 'fall and harvest' theme.

You would swear this house had hundreds of spiders
to make this many webs. or................

Maybe a resident spider just this big!!

Lots of folks loved scarecrows! The one above
looks like a slim and trim backyard beauty.

Obviously a pretty little female happy to
be seated in a rocking chair.

Yee Haw! This guy looks like he should be singing
a country song.

A cute little miss among the mums and pumpkins!

These two are a pair. He has a smile, but she is
a 'sour puss' if I ever saw one.

Mrs. Happy scarecrow..

We had ghosts jumping out of a pumpkin and......

One just hanging from a tree

Oh Gosh, let's not forget the grim reaper and all
his grave stones. (double click and read the inscriptions)

Or a skeleton holding a pumpkin hostage.
