I have been feeding deer in the backyard so I am constantly
looking out to see if any have shown up.
I wasn't surprised to see the opossum on top of
the feeder, but I did a double take to see TWO!
Two cute little faces were looking back at me
cute being the operative word...some would not say 'cute'

As usual these animals are not afraid and go about
eating what the birds have left on the feeder

I never have to worry about wasted food in my back yard
What the daytime visitors don't get the night time
travelers do.

The flash of the camera gets their attention

Falling snow gives the illusion of a starry starry night.

The tracks in the snow tell you how many animals
come into the back yard searching for the left overs.
I am glad I have the means to put out the feed and
to watch as they come.

Jalynn - we always put out food for the coons. I know we shouldn't feed raccoons since we have chickens, but my husband has gotten attached to the coons now, I think. Anyway, opossums often come up with the coons. I love the opposums, I think they are cute in their own way. And I SOOOO want to see a baby on one's back one day! One day, a long time ago, when we lived elsewhere, I saw a opossum with a baby on her back walking beside a busy road. I have always looked for babies on the opossum's backs since then, but haven't seen any more! ...Maybe this spring. If you see a baby on a back, please post the pic for me!!!

Great picture. I thought I saw three tails till I noticed that a bird feeder was hanging from it...lol.
I think they're cute too. It's been a bunch of years since I've seen one in the yard.
CUTE! (sort of...)
More awesome visitors! You get them all over there! Enjoy!
