An Eagle and a Heron

"The hurrier I go the behinder I get"

That is an old Amish saying that describes my blogging
these days. Back in August I went to the Lake and
got to see and photograph the Eagle and
one of the babies.

If you can call this a baby... a very big baby.. still begging
for food.

Mom (or Dad) ignored the baby and just sat there

Looking around

Doing a little preening

Baby still crying out....

Then I saw a great blue Heron..

Standing straight up like a stick...

Both such wonderful birds to see! Love seeing that "baby" eagle w/ his beak open and begging - cute!

What a great opportunity you had. Very interesting to see the adult and "baby" eagle side by side.

It seems like our days are more distracted than ever Jalynn! I know how you feel. I love the eagle and young! Maybe I'll get to go see them here soon.

That eagle baby reminds me of the cartoon character Baby Huey!

What a nice visit...and to see those eagles wow!! You really got some nice shots of them...I guess we Mom's have to learn to ignore those nagging babes sometimes..she sure is doing a good job of it!
