Yea! A Chickadee happening

Right after Easter dinner I looked out and saw
this little chickadee checking out my nesting box.

Of course I grabbed the camera and started taking
pictures... forgetting I had a houseful of guests. haha

My children already call me crazy 'bird lady' so they
didn't get too excited.

I put up this box last year and had no takers.... The House
wren put sticks in it and then moved on...

Then I noticed something peculiar

I think he was taking out nesting material
not putting it in!

I was nonetheless thrilled that he might choose
this box for his nest.

After the Carolina Wren disappointment I needed a
new bird to watch....why not a cute little Chickadee?

I hope you stay little fella...bring your wife!!

I'll keep you posted..

J,
I think you have a keeper here..
I love having chickadees as my birdhouse residents..they are so energetic and so sweet to watch.
Hope he makes a nice big nest and you have lots of chickadee babies to photograph for us!!

This bird house is so cute - I hope the chickadees do use it! Maybe they want to put in their own personalized nesting material!
