A REDBELLY Photoshoot

I woke up the other morning and there was a 'skiff' of snow down. That means none is 'laying' on the ground but you can see it sticking to the roof of my Playhouse...all decorated for Fall.
And on my new SUV and on the bird feeders.
Perfect weather for BIRDS to come to the feeders and I am lucky to say I had a photo shoot with a very beautiful REDBELLY Woodpecker.

With that said: ENJOY!!

Whether eating the grapes I put out or the sunflower seeds
He is just stunningly beautiful.

Click to see his amazing eye. I was glad the sun was shining
so I could get that picture

And check out his tongue

He's trying to act shy cause he knows how many pictures
I have taken of his beauty.

I believe there are two Redbellys here. This one looks younger
and slimmer than the other. Just looks like a 'youth' doesn't he?

another great 'eye' shot

Unlike some people, I can't just post ONE picture and be
happy.. I can't make the decision which one is the best
cause I love them all. Hope you do too.

To God be the Glory ~~ Great Things He Hath done.

We are on the same page with woodpeckers today!

You really have some great images of the redbelly--Congrats!

It is hard to choose just a few isn't it? I favor about 5 normally, since blogger lets me upload only 5 at a time, and I am too lazy to rearrange everything to make it look right.

Outstanding photos of the red bellied! I love the "shy" photo - it's adorable! I have to go purchase some grapes now - I'd like to spoil these guys so they keep coming back!

Red bellied's are the rock stars of the birding world. I always think of Elton John when I see a RB woodpecker.

Wow! Did you have to pay a model fee?

Owlman: welcome to my blog and you are right, the redbelly is a rock star!

Helen: the modeling fee I guess might be 'grapes' haha
