There is no way to know how many Sparrows there are in the world since there are billions. Identifying them can be challenging to say the least. This is a White-crowned Sparrow. They will hang around the feeder and eat both seeds and cracked corn. They will also forage on the ground.
They nest in a low tree up to 30 feet off the ground and their nest is bark, grass and twigs lined with grass and hair. They can have up to 4 broods per year.
