A Nice Little Surprise

When I saw this yellow bird streaking through the air I
couldn't believe my eyes. I have never ever seen a
Warbler of any kind in my yard.

He conveniently landed in my purple butterfly bush.
Too bad it was so far away, I had to crop these to death

Then he landed in the gravel on the driveway
confirming my guess that it was a Yellow Warbler.
Then I really got lucky and it came closer
and landed in a tree.

It was my lucky day for sure.

A Yellow Warbler and I didn't have to go out and find him.

  4. Very cool! great shots! I always see the same types of summer birds over & over, not too many new ones - finches (house, purple, yellow and indigo), cardinals (we have babies!!), blue jays (come to eat outside cat food), sparrows (all kinds), titmouses (or is it titmice?), downy, hairy & red-breasted peckers (for the suet), chickadees (little tuxidos), grackels (for the cat food, too) - did I miss any? It's always fun to see a different bird in the yard.
